Best Beaches in Antalya

Nothing says vacation more than time spent sinking your toes in the sand of a gorgeous beach! Well, the beaches in Antalya do not disappoint. There are many beaches in this part of Turkey. Some are so unique that we can put them into the category of the best beaches in Antalya. To those who choose to spend their time in the sun, sand, and water in, let’s take a closer look at the Antalya’s best beaches.

Best Beaches in Antalya

Lara Beach

Lara Beach is located in the east part of the city. It is massive, and you won’t find a moment of quiet when you are walking or sitting on the sand. You can’t get bored here thanks to all the clubs and restaurants that surround the sandy shoreline. After a long day filled with water sports and beach volleyball, you can easily wander over to a nightclub for a night of dancing.

Konyaaltı Beach

Konyaaltı Beach is one of the most popular of the best beaches in Antalya. It’s located on the west side of the city. We are talking about a beach that is around 6 kilometers between the Beydağları Mountains and Kaleiçi Old Town. The view is amazing at any time of the day. This sandy beach is quite long too, and that is why it never seems crowded, even on the busiest days. Konyaalti Beach has all lots of nice restaurants and coffee houses right next to it. So grabbing a bite is never a problem in between tanning and swimming.

Mermerli Beach

Mermerli Beach is next to the old port in Antalya Old Town and it can only be reached by walking. The entrance to this beach is down by the southern part of the harbor, right where the Mermerli Restaurant is located. This beach is tiny, which makes it feel crowded at times, but you won’t mind since you will spend most of your time out in the water. You can rent almost anything at this beach, so do not worry if you forgot googles, towels, beach balls, or beach toys. Arriving here is always a good idea if you want a place to sit. Especially during the summer months when the tourists arrive by the thousands.

Moonlight Beach Kemer

Moonlight Beach is one of the unique best beaches in Antalya because there is a beach club there that is world-famous. The white sandy beach is perfect for the daytime, and you can spend hours in the water and relaxing on the sand. However, once the sun begins to set, you must enter the restaurant and club to experience the best in luxury and entertainment. You can even arrive at this club earlier in the day to swim in the pool and relax on a VIP bed while being served champagne or delicious cocktails.

Kaş Beaches

There are many beaches out in Kaş, but only two of them make the best beaches in Antalya list. The first Kaş beach on this list is Kucuk Cakil Beach, and while it might not impress you at first, please give it some time. There is only one little strip of sandy land where you can go into the water at this beach, but its location from the center of Kaş makes it easy to reach. There are a lot of stairs that you will need to climb to reach the water and where you are sitting. However, the cleanliness and shallow water make up for that inconvenience.

The other Kas beach that is considered one of the best beaches in Antalya is Buyuk Cakil. This large beach is relatively close to town, and it is easy to walk to, which is perfect if you do not have a car during your visit. Instead of sand, this beach has pebbles, and while it is nice to visit during the day, it is best experienced at night. The reason for this is you can gaze at the stars as the waves roll in, and people play guitar in the background.

Kaputaş Beach

The natural beauty of Kaputas Beach is what has allowed it to be on the list of best beaches in Antalya. You will find this beach down in a little valley between massive cliffs that lead to either Kas or Kalkan. You must climb down quite a few stairs to reach this beach from the cliffs above. The water can get very deep at Kaputas Beach, and the water can also be quite rough on occasion, so caution is needed when swimming. There are no restaurants near this beach, so you should take everything you need for your time in the sun. You may find an occasional vendor or two set up near the sand selling snacks, but you will want to be prepared in case they are not there during your visit.

Cleopatra Beach Alanya

Cleopatra Beach can be found in Alanya, and its location makes it the beach that is visited the most often in Antalya. While the locals may avoid this beach during certain times of the year, tourists flock here when they are in town. A mixture of sand and pebbles lead to a rocky landscape that only increases the mystery within this part of Antalya. When you are ready to see something other than the sparkling water off the shoreline, you may want to consider wandering over to Damlatas Cave to see the stalactites and stalagmites.

These are the best beaches in Antalya, and you will want to visit them all before you deem one of them as your favorite. Although it can be quite challenging to choose just one, most people can narrow it down to at least a couple, and then they usually visit the closest of the two for the remainder of their visit. Antalya weather is 300 days sunshine, who wouldn’t want to discover the best beaches here.
